Well, I figured everyone is blogging, I might as well do some blogging myself! I am wondering though if anyone is going to read it!
It is indeed a pleasure to read through your blogs! Most of you are being open about it and taking the time to describe how you feel, what you are thinking, obstacles you are facing, etc. in your blog. I think that’s great. It gives me a chance to individually hear from each of you about what is going on with your internship site. And as I read through the blogs I try to leave some comments that would help you, especially if you are encountering a problem/obstacle. Remember to use your site supervisor as a resource, if things aren’t going the way you think they should, be sure to talk with your site supervisor. I’m sure they can help you.
Also, don’t forget to read through your other group members’ blogs and leave comments for them as well. Yes, I know it’s not REQUIRED, but come on, you gals want to be helpers right? So, be helpers with your classmates too! It’s reassuring to hear someone else say, yes, I have that same experience, or here’s what I think you should do, or something else. Let’s build a community of helpers in this internship class.
Keep up the good work with your blogs!

Well, I think I’ve figured out this edublog website. Seems like you need subscribe other students to your blog. I’ve posted instructions on Blackboard, but also thought I’d create a blog here as well about it. As soon as you subscribe me to your blog, I will read through students’ posts and maybe blog my thoughts here. If you need to see the instructions again about how to subscribe others to your blog, you can click on this link:

This is the resource you will be using to keep blog your experiences while at your internship site. You are required to post at least one blog a week starting this week.
Journaling and blogging are important activities. There are some proven strategies for learning from experience. Most of these strategies require you to step back and analyze what is happening. This reflective process is similar to looking in a mirror. You see a reflection of yourself which allows you to make adjustments in the way you look. Similarly, when you look back on what is happening, you have an opportunity to develop some new insights or to make judgments about what you are experiencing.
Keeping a journal (or in this case, blogging) can help you capture ideas and insights, and to record information and observations in order to analyze an experience. In this blog you should record workplace events, situations, or tasks you completed during the week. You should also comment feelings you experienced, challenges you faced, insights you gained, questions you have, and so on. You can record and comment on things that were particularly critical or key to you that week.
You can also review other students’ blogs and leave comments for them. Please do so in an effort to construct a supportive community for one another.
